This is Ray Castellani in 1995 at the White House where he received the
President's Service Award, the highest honor given to a volunteer in our country. |

This is a picture of our serving line downtown. People would wait for
2-3 hours prior to our arriving. We would serve 1,000 people this way. Since the
frenzy to get the food was really undignified, we now drive around downtown and distribute
the food to the clusters of people. There is no longer huge lines, chaos, or fear that
they won't get anything.

These are some friends downtown. You can tell by the true smiles on their
face that seeing us is a joy - not because they want the food, but because they just love
for us to hang out and talk. |

This was taken in June, 1997 when Ray was invited to give the commencement
address at his high school, The Albany Academy in Albany, New York. To read the speech,

This is Daryl, Ray, and Cisco with Ray Castellani. They called
themselves the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. They were and very dear friends for the first
7 years. We know Ray went to stay with a relative a couple of years ago - we've never
heard from him since. Cisco was trying to get and stay sober and as far as we know he is
still on the streets. Daryl became quite ill, was on the streets and would come to see us,
then we stopped hearing about him. |
